Who are we?
The Ontario Horse Protection Network, dedicated to changing laws and outlooks regarding the humane treatment of equines. We will try to provide information and links to information about the horse industry in Canada and offer a place for your voice to be heard. We are operating from Pinecroft Stables in Parry Sound, Ontario and also will offer rescued horses for adoption.
Our goal right now is to pass a bill in Parliament banning the sale of horses for slaughter. This age old practice has encouraged cruelty, neglect and indiscriminate breeding. Living Equines generate huge amounts of money into a large sector of the economy. Slaughter horses fill the pockets of a few and shame our society.
